Justin Bieber's house raided and drugs found

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has raided the home of pop star Justin Bieber.

Los Angeles law enforcement executed a felony search warrant early Tuesday morning, showing up to his Calabasas, Calif., mansion with 12 detectives in about eight patrol cars.

But in something that could only happen in Hollywood, they went in looking for eggs and came out having found drugs

The Sheriff’s Dept. was investigating if Bieber was connected to an egg-throwing incident last week that caused damage to a neighbor’s home. They obtained a felony search warrant and entered the home at about 8 a.m. PST.

According to TMZ, Bieber’s longtime friend rapper Lil Za was arrested for narcotics possession.

Lt. David Thompson told reporters at a press conference that cocaine was in plain view when deputies entered the home.

The search was ordered after an accusation by one of Bieber's neighbours that the teen idol threw eggs at their home on January 9.

According to media reports in the US, damage of $20,000 was caused.

The costs included replastering the front of the house and restaining the doors.

A media report quoted the unnamed neighbour as saying that he confronted Bieber, 19, after the egging but that the singer swore at him and continued to throw eggs.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed the search warrant had been executed.
