Hailing out of West Palm Beach , Florida, is indie band Surfer Blood. After the release of their debut single Swim in 2009, the hype reverberating from these guys spread right through America. The way in which lead singer Jon Chattmans’ voice echoes across the track, paralleled by guitar rich, juicy hooks, ingrains this track in any indie fans palate. The subsequent release of their 2010 debut LP Astro Coast did not disappoint, and continued in the same vein of feel good guitar melodies, catchy hooks and a resounding impression that you’d just spent the day relaxing by the beach. Lyrically the album is fairly straightforward with Chattman talking of confusion amongst friends, lovers, his future and religion, all topical subjects amongst young adults of their age. After receiving fairly universal top reviews, Surfer Blood have established themselves as an up and coming band with a impressive debut, and a bright future.
