Faithless are a dance/Electronica band out of the UK. Its members, each having released previous works in their own right, are Rollo, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz. Rollo leads and produces the band, and Maxi Jazz raps over the top of Sister Bliss’s electronic sounds. Tracks such as God is a DJ and Insominia have earned them plenty of fans across the worlds dance floors, with Maxi Jazz’s cool, calm, lyric work giving them another dimension, sitting on top of Bliss’s smooth electronic manipulations. They also incorporate more organic sounds through Bliss, who plays piano, Bass, and saxophone and through guest female vocalist Pauline Taylor. From 1996 to 2004 the band released 4 albums, Reverence, Sunday 8pm, Outrospective and No Roots, with the latter coming in at number one the UK album charts. With over 12 million albums sold worldwide, Faithlesshave earned themselves plenty of respect within the dance and popular music culture, and in 2009 Faithless ended their 4 year hiatus with the release of their new album The Dance. They followed this up with a return to Glastonbury after 8 years, and continue to be a fan favorite across the worlds dance floors.
